In my recent “2014’s Most Anticipated” article I mentioned how much I am looking forward to Captain American: The Winter Soldier. Now, after seeing the new trailer shown during the Super Bowl my excitement level has gone through the roof. The action looks great, and the Winter Soldier looks like an intriguing villain. With a badass metal arm.

I am loving this trailer. Little disappointed there’s no Georges St-Pierre as Batroc the Leaper in there, but I’m guessing he won’t be a huge part of the film anyway.

There was also another trailer released that re-uses a little more footage from the first trailer, but is notable for the blink and you’ll miss it appearance of Sharon Carter, Cap’s comic book love interest.

Marvel has been on a roll for a while now, and it only looks like they’re picking up speed. April can’t get here fast enough

Awesome trailer. The new TV spot is also great.

Someone who saw a rough cut this week made the following comments:

*All I can say is WOW. I saw a rough cut. What you may see may turn out to be different but WOW.

*It met my expections and as the film progressed it exceeded them. It’s the most emotional MCU film to date. I don’t think I can say any more than that.

*Also, it’s funny but a lot more balanced than IM3 and TDW imo.

*Think IM1 and The Avengers mixed into one.

“It met my expectations and as the film progressed it exceeded them” is great to hear, but the part of your comment I’m most intrigued by is “it’s the most emotional MCU film to date”.

I’m hoping that means it is full of heart and affecting character moments. And things going BOOM
